I am a digital artist and designer based in the High Desert of Southern California, where the stark beauty of the Mojave serves as a constant backdrop for my work. My creative practice is a bridge between the tactile and the digital, blending vintage aesthetics with modern technology to explore new visual frontiers.
The Desert: A Grounded Foundation
The High Desert landscape provides the physical and spiritual anchor for my work. The Mojave’s stark geometry—the twisted silhouettes of Joshua trees, the jagged horizons, and the vast, open silence—serves as the foundational canvas. It is an ancient, otherworldly place where isolation fuels deep creative exploration.
While the desert keeps the work grounded, the cosmos pulls it upward. Cosmic patterns, swirling nebulae, and celestial motifs capture the profound mystery of the unknown. Looking up at the desert night sky reminds us how small we are, introducing a sense of surreal wonder to the physical terrain.
The 1960s provide the stylistic filter through which the desert and cosmos collide. Defined by bold optimism, psychedelic energy, and early Space Race fascination, this era shapes my visual language. Vibrant pop-art palettes, expressive typography, and vintage design elements bring dynamic rhythm to every piece.
The goal is to broadcast a visual frequency that feels simultaneously alien and familiar—a signature style I call "future-nostalgia." It bridges speculative sci-fi odyssey narratives with optimistic mid-century graphic culture. Every finished artwork pulls the viewer beyond the expected and directly into an expansive, vivid universe.
When these worlds converge, they form a "Static Mirage." Picture a 1960s astronaut wandering past a Mojave yucca, or a psychedelic cosmic rift opening above a mid-century bungalow. It blends tactile desert grit with radiant colors, shifting traditional design toward a supernatural exploration of atmosphere.
